I was diagnosed with Coeliac Disease when I was ten years old after a blood test and then a biopsy confirmed it.
Life up until then was a struggle. I was constantly bloated, in pain and had little energy. We repeatedly went to the doctors but they always told me I just had a stomach bug, as with Coeliac Disease you usually lose a lot of weight, where as I was average weight. After 6 years of doctors visits and pain I finally had a blood test to test for multiple things. Coeliac Disease came back positive, and although many people would be upset by the news I was relieved and finally felt as though I could move on with my life!!
Yeah its hard, especially when we go to resturants, but the choice of food available is amazing now a days, and I must say the gluten free food a Pizza Express is amazing ;) and I really struggle to know what to eat for breakfast, so I usually skip it, which I know is super bad, but for Christmas I was given a Nutri Bullet which has been able as I can quickly make up any smoothie, using fruit we have in the house!
I'm the only one I know with this, so I cant talk about it with any one, or ask questions and opinions on things, so I was wondering if anyone else is in the same situation? let me know, it would be good to have a chat (and feel free to ask any questions!!)
See you soon! HJ xoxox
